Our teacher, Rayce Bird wanted us to divide into groups and create the concept for a Video Game again like we tried at the end of Sophomore Studio, but better. The group with voted the best project would get to have the entire class work on their idea for a week, to try to make a demo level of their game.
Ours won! And its based on my concept. The premise was that our protagonist, Emily from Victorian England got teleported into an alternate universe, where humans are dead and machines rule the world. The alternate universe is also Victorian, so the machines are clockworks.
In alternate universe, the people (and animals) mysteriously combusted into magic scifi goo, which melted into whatever was nearthem at the time, absorbing it and assembling it into a clockwork bot. These machines keep the some of the personality but not the consciousness or memories, and are all kind of broken childlike versions of life. Some of them are unfriendly. Emily wants to find the way back home.
The 3D, rigged and animated model of a hunter killer robot I made that chases people in our demo through the city streets.
