Magic the Gathering Card

Matteus the Weredeer was my contest entry for getting into the elite 2D Digital Art class at University of Idaho, Advanced Character Design. We were assigned to make a Magic the Gathering card, showing a human undergoing a horrific transformation into an animal.

His monstrous form, neither human nor stag bursts from his skin, exposing his muscles and ribcage. His long, bony hands grow into horrific claws with cloven deer fingernails. His bloodstained antlers drip with his own shredded human flesh.
